New Android Market For Android 2.2 Phones And Above

Google has released a new Android Market for Android phones with 2.2 (Froyo) and above. This new version of Android Market allows you to purchase books and rent movies, among other things and of course, sports a cool new interface which is similar to the one in HoneyComb but optimized for the smaller phone display. The video renting service is only available in the US at the moment, so if you're outside of the US, you won't be able to rent videos from the Android Market just yet.

Besides that, you also need to be in the US in order to purchase books from Android Market. The books purchasing and video renting are linked to your Google account so they are instantly accessible across your Android devices be it your smartphone or tablet device.

This new version of the Android Market will be slowly rolled out to your android phone, so don't worry if you haven't get it yet. The entire process is also automatic the moment you're connected to the internet, it'll auto update and you'll get it.

Alternatively, you can grab it here, but this is a rather unofficial method, i'm not sure whether there'll be any strange issues with the Android Market if you install it manually, so don't say I didn't warn you! Just download and put the APK in your SD card and install it off there. Click here to get it.
