Samsung Galaxy Z Announced : Galaxy S II On A Diet

Samsung has announced a compact version of the Samsung Galaxy SII which is currently the most sought after smartphone - dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Z. This new phone while being a "smaller" version of the Galaxy S II, is still packed with some impressive specs namely - 4.2 Inch WVGA Super Clear LCD display, 1 GHZ Dual-Core Processor, Wifi, Bluetooth, 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and HD recording, GPS, FM Radio and 8 GB of internal storage space (expandable up to 32 GB with a MicroSD card) running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will be using the standard Samsung Touchwiz UI.

It is currently up for preorder in Swezen for 3995 SEK but there's no news on whether it will be made available elsewhere. Lets hope Samsung will bring this new handset to other parts of the world so that those who can't afford the hefty price tag of the Galaxy SII could still enjoy a slightly stripped down version of it.
