Rumour has it that Sony Ericsson is cooking up a new handset called "Nozomi" and it is expected to pack a powerful 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage (no expandable storage options, sorry), a 1750 mAh battery, a 720P resolution screen at 4.3 inches.
In an attempt to jab at Apple iPhone's retina display, the Nozomi handset is rumoured to feature a 342 pixels per inch density versus iPhone's 326 PPI. The Nozomi will also feature Near-Field-Communication or NFC for short and is expected to be released sometime in March 2012. Sounds like a real powerhouse smartphone if you ask me. It won't be long before we'll be seeing quad or multi-core smartphones in a year or two from now.
Already Nvidia is working on the Kal-el processor which features 4 cores and is slated for the upcoming successor of the current best selling Android Tablet - the EEE Pad Transformer. Looks like interesting times are ahead of us!
