There's a lot of rumours floating around lately on the imminent release of the successor to the ASUS EEE Pad Transformer which is the ASUS EEE Pad Transformer 2 (not the final name) and it is rumoured to be launched on the 7th Of November this year. An online retailer, LambdaTek Component Shop has listed that the device is expected to be priced at a rather pricey $739.77 USD which comes with the following known specs:
- Android 3.2 Honeycomb (no ICS just yet)
- NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor
- 10.1-inch display
- 32GB of storage
- 1GB of RAM
Now, I would attribute the high price to be 2 factors - firstly the storage space and the processor obviously is the ones pushing the price up. But this is assuming that there will only be a 32 GB model and no 16 GB model and also assuming that the price is actually accurate and not just a placeholder price. I guess we will know in a month's time (or so) as we were promised that we will see a Tegra 3 tablet before the end of the year by NVIDIA's CEO some weeks back.
