Play Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, Hexen And Quake On Your Android Device!

Yes you've heard that right - you can actually play Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, Hexen or Quake on your Android device if you don't know already. There are a few ports available but the latest one by developer Jack Niu is probably the best that I've ever seen so far. Just take a look at the screenshot above - that's Doom running on my ASUS EEE Pad Transformer.

The best part of this excellent port is that you can play it using the touchscreen contols (i've hidden them since I'm using my keyboard dock to play it) or using an external keyboard like the one on the ASUS EEE Pad Transformer - key bindings are excellent and even in some of the game ports where you can't hide the onscreen controls, they are small enough not to block your view.

The game runs pretty smoothly with no graphical glitches whatsoever but its going to cost you if you purchase them from the Android Market links that I'll be providing to you soon - if you look into the description in Android Market - you might be able to grab it for FREE in the Google Code site. But do support the developer by making the purchase and especially if you want something to be improved - I'm sure he will do so if you pay some moolah to him! The game cost ranges from $0.99 to the most expensive $2.99, so check them out below:

Wolfenstein 3D : Spear Of Destiny For Android ($0.99) - Android Market
Hexen For Android ($0.99) - Android Market
Quake 1 For Android ($2.99)  - Android Market
Doom For Android ($1.99) - Android Market
